fall trip to the states

The beginning of October we took a way too short trip to The States for my older brother Russell and new sister-in-law Libby's wedding.

Ten day visit back home - my older brother got married // we met 5 (!!!) brand new babies // drank and ate with dear family and friends // so many teary eyed hugs hello and kisses goodbyes.

We started the trip in Raleigh, North Carolina where the wedding took place.  It was a great weekend starting with my parents hosting a North Carolina BBQ rehearsal dinner at the home they rented and ended the weekend with Russell and Libby sending a (partied out) Marco and I off with AMAZING coconut wedding cake.  The in-betweens: jetlag 6 AM runs, lazy breakfasts (I have missed bagels!) at the rental home, me complaining about the heat, peeking the bride and her maids at their getting ready suite, a sweet and emotional wedding ceremony, and spectacular dinner reception turned major dance party at Humble Pie restaurant in downtown Raleigh ending with a late night after party with cousins and old high school friends.

After the wedding weekend, we went on to Virginia Beach to spend several days with Marco's family and friends.  Next stop was Richmond to meet baby Ehren Atticus and then ended the trip in the DC area.

We still can't believe the life experiences and travels we are making over here - but we are missing our family and friends just as much.  It was so good to see everyone.

Total sporadic non thorough photo documentation of our time back home.  We managed to cram so much in such little time.
