We picked them up at the train station and headed to Cambridge proper and picnicked along the River Cam. It was a scorcher of a day and the city was packed. We watched hen parties, drunken twenty-somethings, and families punt up and down the river.
The rest of the weekend was spent hobnobbing around a few of our local establishments, taking countryside walks, and drinking much better quality wine than Marco and I are accustomed to due to Sebastian's career-in-the-wine-industry posh perks. Love you Seb!
A few photos from below from their visit.
After a weekend of wine talk, I became determined to learn a bit more about wine. This is my usual wine buying routine: Locate the reds section. Locate Rioja, or Pinot Noir, or Bordeaux. Choose a middle shelf priced wine or a $$$ that is slashed in price. It is not my goal to attempt to memorize every vintage or varietal, but just to have a knowledgeable approach when it comes to purchasing and identifying the best value for your money. "Oh yes, 2009 was a good year for South Africa ......" We'll see!
