wadenhoe and cambridge

Last Sunday we took Keghley to our favorite local village pub, The King's Head in Wadenhoe which also happens to be the village I work in.  We had pints in the garden on the River Nene and watched the house boats cruise by.

After lunch we went to Cambridge for the afternoon.  The parks were filled with students barbecuing and drinking.  Being American, it was a strange sight to watch a couple of cops just monitor hundreds of people partake in two activities that are illegal to do in most public parks in the states.  It was fun to people watch and take in the afternoon park gathers (and feel like the old people crashing the party).

It was so so special to have a friend visit us, have a familiar face to toast with, and show around our countryside life.  Thank you for the Jameson fresh from Dublin Keghley, xo.
