christmas eve and boxing day

We hope everyone had a lovely and over indulgent holiday week.  (Too much Christmas pudding, mince pies, and haribo candies over here.)

Marco and I made Christmas Eve dinner in our cottage just the two of us - cheese course / spaghetti vongole / veal / halibut / panettone - and opened some gifts from each other and from our family back in the states.

Christmas morning we made a nice breakfast - farm egg scrambies! (john norris voice) - then headed down to East Horsley to spend Christmas and Boxing day with my extended family.

It was great to skype with our families but of course it just wasn't the same as being with you all.  Having said that we loved hanging with all the Hintons, enjoying some amazing meals prepared by Uncle Ashley and Aunt Denise, and learning some English Christmas traditions (flaming brandy Christmas pudding!)
