portobello road

Saturday morning we drove down to Heathrow to pick up our friend Andrew who was arriving.  We headed to Notting Hill for breakfast and found a place called Charlie's.  The guys were about to attend their first Premier League match.  Over a full English the guys discussed Tottenham and QPR starting line-ups and English Premier League rankings, blah blah blah.

Marco is a Tottenham fan though he informed us that since it was a QPR home game and we were headed to QPR pubs, neighborhood, and territory that we were now QPR fans for the day.

Lucky for us we arrived to the pub early because by the time we were 2-3 pints deep the place was wall to wall burly dudes in their blue and white duds.

I left the guys and headed back to Notting Hill for the day to hit home decor shops and the Portobello market that runs through the heart of Notting Hill.  I wasn't prepared for the sensory overload that is the PORTOBELLO MARKET.  It wasn't even the pints I had earlier or the mass of people crowding the pedestrian streets, it was just too hard to focus when stall after stall is full of vintage garb and antiques.

And this is how I found the boys when we met back up at Westfields mall after the match.  The Champagne bar, in.the.middle.of.the.fancy.mall.
