corners of the cottage

farm egg / grocery egg

We slowly have rid the cottage of most moving boxes and the place is beginning to feel like home.  Little corners here and there are coming together.

We have compiled a list of wants: furnish the guest bedroom, replace our west elm couch with a leather couch (eBay search: "danish leather sofa" is a touchy subject right now, we have lost out on several so far), and purchase a few wardrobes from auctions or charity shops.  (We may or may not have a wardrobe in our kitchen right now that we purchased from someone in Cambridge come to find out it won't fit up upstairs due to our hobbit sized doors, ceilings, and staircase.)  Then there are the odds and ends like side tables, floor lamp, plants, etc.  In due time.

Marco made carbonara last night.  It is one of our favorites.  He has certainly perfected it.  *I will try not to harp on about fresh farm eggs, but oh man.  The eggs made the dish even better.

My manual driving is going well.  It started out great, then I had a bit of a **slump, and now I am driving on my own.  Learning manual is one thing, but to be learning on the tiny countryside roads, on the other side of the car, on the other side of the road, it has been daunting my friends.

*i will probably harp often

**marco scared for his life
